I purchased a QT-25 machine from Quincy with the addition of a dryer. I sized the machine based on the manufactures claims made about the compressor. We run a couple of cnc machines with tool changes at 4cfm for about 30 secs. In addition to that we often run a vacuum chuck at .8 cfm. We also use air to blow our parts off. The QT25 says it can run 15.7 cfm at 100% duty cycle. However, the machine does not perform at this level, not even close. At worse case I am running at 10 cfm intermittently. MY compressor cycles on every 3 minutes and runs for 3.5 minutes to fill back to tank pressure. Due to this the motor over heats and shuts down despite the claims of 100% duty cycle. I contacted tech support and I was told it can only run at 60% duty cycle at best. The 100% claim is found on the website as well as a big sticker on the front of the tank of the compressor. I would not recommend using the data provided by Quincy if you plan to size your compressor. The technician told me I needed to contact one of their distributers to figure out what I needed. I can only assume the distributer knows better from past experience or they have a different set data. Apparently, the data on the website and distribution channels like northern tool cannot be trusted. Quincy is not doing anything for us to correct the issue or to apologize for false claims. We are now looking to purchase new equipment. Lessoned learned.......

Worked on their 200Hp and 150, and loved them. Easy to maintain and service. We had new ones and a couple that were about ten years old. Super maintenance friendly and reliable.

Reliability you trust? They need to change that slogan. Only had my 5HP $1999 compressor for 21 months and the motor went out. Was charged almost $1500 to fix it. Look somewhere else. Definitely DO NOT buy a Quincy. Unless you need write offs every year.
